I am hooking up 2 Massive TK6 component sets to a 4 channel amp (4x100). My question is with the wiring for the tweeters.  The tweeters have wires running from them already but it looks like it is 18 gauge wire ( really small compared to the 12 gauge im using as speaker wire).

Question: Should I just connect the 12 gauge wire to these two small wires or should I just cut the small wires off and soulder the 12 gauge wire in its place?

Thanks for the help!

Ok I just wasn't sure if running 12 gauge wire to these little bitty wires that were already connected To the tweeters would be doing any good since the wires that are connected were so small. In my head I was thinking it would be the same as running 1000 watts to a sub using 14 gauge wire. Just wanted to make sure there would be plenty of wire for the current to go through.
