I have an Alpine 8302 extension cable kit in my old Alpine stuff, but I can't remember what the heck it was for. I installed lots of Alpine product from 1989 - 1992, so it could be for anything in that range. The box basically has a changer - style DIN cord (sorry, didn't count pins yet) and about 12 - 15 wire extension pieces with boot-protected bullet connectors. It could have been for audio, security, or cell phone use since I installed all those at one time or another.

Any ideas?

What color are the wires?  Can you take a picture of the device and post it here?

Okay, I looked at this more closely and saw the "For MOBILE SECURITY SYSTEM" words on it - so being the Sherlock that I am, I have that part now.

It says on the box:

Contents:

8.3 feet din cable (for control module).....1 pc.

wire harness............................................. 1 set

There are a ton of wires - all in Alpine Security System colors for that time period.

I'll work on getting some photos up.

All the 8000 series from Alpine was indeed security related.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
