I have a 2006 pt cruiser touring edition with a radiator that i just changed out, in the process I disconnected the battery and since then my cd player wont play, but everything else works like the radio, there is just the word cd on the display when in cd mode, it takes and ejects cds but no action on the display. Does
anybody have any idea what the problem is?

Try resetting your head unit. More than likely there is a reset button somewhere on the unit.

I can only assume that it is a factory unit. there is probably not a reset button, but disconnecting the battery again may correct your problem.

this is pretty lame, but its working now. I was just about to unplug the battery but decided to play with the cd player first. turns out all I had to do was put the cd in, press the power knob on. then press mode until the track and time showed up and voila music. if it was my car I would have had more time to play with it and figured it out. her excuse was she didn't have to do it that way before. oh well thanks anyways guys
