I'm replacing an audio deck and front door speakers in my 1996 Ford Aspire hatchback. Having had all the wiring figured out, I thought I'd be done by now, but...
There is very little space behind the door panels and I need a speaker with almost no tweeter protrusion. I tried 6.5" Pioneer TS-A1673R (tweeter sticks out 3/4"), but couldn't close the door panel, even without the grille which came with the speaker. The problem is, that the speaker specs on various websites don't list this dimension and I can't therefore say what would fit and what wouldn't. It's listed on each speaker box (went to Best Buy), but with the limited offer in the store I don't really know which options I have (if any).
Is there any site where I can find the height/depth of each model - mounting plane to back of magnet and mounting plane to furthest point out on the tweeter dome?
Thanks for any pointers!

Have you looked at Component speakers? Pioneer makes decent ones, that I have used where those coaxial systems don't fit. TS-c1653
