Soundstream from years ago.  Yes a reputable company.  Soundstream from today with the MAXXSONIC stamp on the bottom cover?  Not the same company as from earlier years.

Dave nods in agreeance... (Let's see who remembers!) The new Soundstream is effectively garbage, and the highest priced product you'll ever buy from the PROPER retailer of products of this caliber - the Swap-O-Rama.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

as an installer, i like their stealth amps and their tarantula series amps are monsterous. as far as their speakers go, i havent really dealt with them yet and their in-dash tv's are ok for the price, not the greatest, but definitely not the worst.  their stuff is not meant to fall in any high-end category so if thats what you are looking for then look elsewhere.  they also have a lot of cool accessories and distrobution blocks.

I have heard a TON of bad reviews on their razor headunits or headunits in general. I was thinking about buying one to see how it was and decided against it after seeing all of the terrible reviews. Go to onlinecarstereo and a few other sites and there is a good amount of reviews for their products!

You are right sound n security.  They are not a part of the Maxxsonics umbrella.
