pioneer avhp4000dvd

I have a 2003 GMC Z71, I am trying to install a < color=#0000de>Pioneer Avhp4000dvd tv in it. It has bose and onstar, My question is, Is there a way to hook it up without buying that wiring harness. I had a denali before this truck and I just spliced in to a pink wire in the dash and the tv worked fine, It was also equipped with these features,  I am just wondering if I can do that same thing with this truck.

You're talking about digital v analog bud. Let's compare apples to apples. As idiot mentioned above all you did was turn on the factory amp. Do it the right way and buy the harness. You will not remain on-star without it. You can get the radio to work, but without all the functionality it had before, door chimes, possible blinker sound, HVAC blower speeds etc... IMO don't be cheap, just do it.

If your truck has a digital amp in it there is no way that i know of to turn it on without the harness. if its analog you can power up a wire to turn it on. but even if it is analog which im almost certain it isnt you will still have to run a switched ignition to it. my best advice is to just bite the bullet and buy the harness it'l save you alot of time and headache. id stick with a pac-audio interface. i work in a shop and have had the best luck with them. you will also need a seperate part if you truck has steering wheel controls if you wish to retain them . so to answer you question in short without the interface you will lose your onstar and i doubt you'll be able to power the bose amp up. let me know if theres anything i can help you with.mobile security specialist
