Right now I'm in the process of designing / installing a car pc project in my mustang. I currently have an audiocontrol 2xs active crossover splitting the audio signal from the sound card at 90hz. The low half goes to the sub amp and the mid/highs go to the other amp. Now I do not have a separate amp for tweeters so I have the mid/high signal passing through the amp to passive crossovers set at 3500hz. I would like to know how the active and passive crossover points are affecting each other if any?

I realize that when you use two active crossovers, it changes the crossover freq and db/octave, but I have no clue how the active and passive xovers are affecting each other.

They are not affecting each other.

They will only affect each other's responses if they are stacked... meaning running at the same or close to the same crossover frequency.

Between 90Hz and 3500Hz, they are so far apart, they don't even know the other one is there.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
