amp trouble

During use my amp suddenly "stopped working" for the first time. My amp has a voltage display and also shows the levels of audio that are being played through the amp. When I looked at the amp after this problem the amp was running between 7v-9v and no audio was being sent through the amp. Normally my amp runs at 13.8v like it should. I have checked under my hood and I cant get a good view of my 300a fuse but it seems to be okay. I can't seem to get the fuses out of the amp is there a certain way or tool I need to use? No tools are needed to remove the fuses.  But since you ask that question, and from the description of your problem and the particular amp you have, I am guessing that the fuse holders have been overtaxed.  Usualy when this happens it melts either the fuses or the plastic sockets of the fuse holders themself.   You may need to use some needle nose pliers to try to rock the fuses from the holder.  If you remove them you should be able to tell by the condition of the terminals of the fuses.  If that is not the case, there is possibly a bad connection on the power or the ground terminal of the amp.  Is the plastic melted on either of those terminals? The only way you can really find your problem is to use a volt meter to test voltage at the amp.

close the circuit to the 300a fuse and change all fuses in the amp but,don't forget to use a bigger gauge power wire for the ampboxead78

There was a bad connecting to the main fuse under the hood. Re-cut the wire and tape it up clean and solved the problem. No fuses in the amp blown or main fuse. I' m already running 0 gauge wire so I knew it wasnt an issue with the actual wires not being able to handle it. Thanks for the responses
