What to do : MTX 81000d amp and sony 4 channel amp. Im wondering since i currently have 8 guage wires in my car if i should just run some 0 guage wires from the battery like if it was a fresh install. Would this harm my system ? My mtx says it needs 0 guage wire with a 150 amp fuse. so the final result would be two lead power wires coming from the battery one blue coming from stereo and two grounds. also 6 rcas coming from the stereo or 4 if i get y connections but i would prefer 6. I once connected an alpine and a pioneer amp to two identical subs without a distro block and it blew one of the subs out.

I have a 90 sedan deville with an okay battery but i would also like some suggestions on caps, should i do the big 3 and how much money im looking on spending.

1) As long as they are all properly fused there is no problem running multiple power wires. It might be messy and it really is unnecessary, but it won't harm anything.

2) You should absolutely do a Big Three upgrade, and probably look into a high-output alternator. Caps are unnecessary.

3) If you blew a sub you did something wrong. Be sure you read the "How to Upgrade the Big Three," "What is a Proper Ground" and "How to Set your Gains" posts in the Car Audio Hot Topics forum.
