amp for 2 mtx tr75 12 subs?

Not worried about budget, yet.  I have been told i need a 1ohm stable, and have been told i need a 2ohm stable.  What would be the best amp?

With 2 dual 2 ohm subs you have 3 options of wireing them to one mono block amplifer. .5 ohm, 2 ohm or 8 ohm. Seeing as there are not many amps out there that support a .5 ohm load and none of the ones that can handle .5 ohm are going to be cheap and are way too much power for your needs. As said above. Find an amp that makes the power you want at 2ohm. It can be a 1 ohm stable amp or a 2 ohm but what you are looking for is the power you want at 2ohm. I would recommend an amp that is 750- 1000rms at 2 ohm. Thats what your looking for.

If you can find a 1 ohm stable amp that produces enough power into a 2 ohm load, that would be your best choice as far as reliability.  2 dual 2ohm drivers, with each speaker's voice coils wired in series, and then the speakers wired in parallel will yield a 2 ohm load.  So if you have a 1 ohm stable amp that produces enough power for you into a 2 ohm load, that would be your best option.
