hey, new to the forum, been browsing this site for about a year..Alot of useful information! have a few questions..
I have a bronco with room for a H= 19 W=48 1/2 and depth of 32..that give me a little over 14cubes of space, more then enough..i have 2 L7 15 dual 4ohm wired down to 1ohm on a hifonics 2000 brutus amp currently..
i want to follow kickers specs and do a 6cube box/sub..so 12..but im having a hard time figuring out how to make this one box with the subs facing up and ports in the middle of the subs..kicker also says to tune it to 30hz, seems a little low ? i was think about 35?
if anyone could give me some insight on how to build this or maybe someone can draw up kinda what im describing that i want? sorry for the long post and thank you so much in advance! already got my 3 sheets of MDF and im gettin excited ..

Theres a good program on here you can use to figure port length.
As for wut to tune it to, 30hz is gonna give you a lil better SQ (but since yo have kicker equipment, SQ is not an issue) The 35Hz will probably give you more output.

Everything you need to know is right here. KICKER BOX BUILDING.
This will show you the graphs for the 3.5, 4.5 and 6.0 cubic foot enclosures as well as a sample enclosure for each with measurements. Also has port folding covered and some other box building tips. They have the 8s-15s covered. Remember that the airspace is NET. The driver displacement is already takin into account, but you do need to ADD port displacement and bracing to get your GROSS cubic foot. For the 6.0 cube you need a gross volume of 6.45 per sub. For the 4.5 cub enclosure you need 4.92. If you follow there port tune.
BTW for me the 4.5 cube is better. If your wanting loud and a bit more punch. Im doing 150db out of my Navi using 2 zx1000.1s on 2 L7 15s. 4.5 cube NET tuned at Fb of 33Hz. They say 6 cube is louder but it fails to give you numbers and looses punch. Trust me i tried it. It does play louder on the low end though.

thanks alot man!..i built the box today..was sick over the weekend..ended up just building the 4.5cube..well two of them, that way i can always take out one sub if i need the room..and it sounds amazing..the lows i picked up with this new box is amazing compared to the old box..which was a 6 cube premade box for the 2 15's..lets just say it didn't sound that great!
makes the fiberglass top flex so much i need to brace it some how! ill take pic in a few days after i figure out what to do with the amps! again, thanks alot for your info!
