Hello all,  I own a 2006 Z06 corvette with Navigation and Bose 7 speaker system.  I wanted to keep the Bose system so I purchased a Metra wire harness and a Axxess GMOS-4,

Data Interface to keep the features of the vehicle.  After completed all wiring I started the system and I have no audio sound.. The Navigation, FM, AM is working I see the station information and the volume control works also because I see the volume increase when I press the + volume button.  I was instructed in the GMOS instructions to connect the RCA audio rear and front outputs from the AVIC to the GMOS 14 pin RCA connectors to power the speakers of the car.  I purchased a metra harness that connects my stock harness to the AVIC which in turn connects to the GMOS 16 and 14 pin connectors.

Can you guys please help me determine what are possible solutions.  I'm going back outside to check my wiring again.  I did check my AV setting on the AVIC to make sure that the Sub woofer selection was chosen.  I have the options of Full speaker option which I believe detects both subwoofer or rear speaker options.  I selected Full, rear speakers and Subwoofer and neither resulted in any sounds coming from the system.

Please help me, thanks in advance.

Sounds to me as though the factory amp is not getting the turn on voltage it needs.  Is there a wire labeled power antenna on the OS-4?  If so, connect it to the Blue/White wire of your new deck.

In the instructions in the GMOS there is a note for 2005-2009 corvettes to install a relay spdt in between the bljue/white wire on the GMOS 16 pin harness and the 24 pin stock harness.   I purchase a 12 volt, 30 amp 4 prong relay with terminals 85, 86 and 87 and ground.  I purchased it from Advance auto parts with those terminal however I don't know if it was spdt relay.

The blue white wire from the GMOS connects to a white wire antenna enable signal going to the 24 stock pin harness.

I cut the blue/white wire from the GMOS and connected blue/white wire coming from the 16 pin GMOS to pin 85 of the relay.  then took the other end going to the 24 pin stock harness to pin 30.   I then connected pin 87 of the relay to 12 volts going to the 24 pin stock harness receiving 12 volts battery.  And grounded pin 86 of relay.

I'm going to buy a spdt relay, the instructions didn't specify a amp rating for the relay, only that it is a spdt 12volt relay.  Not sure if the spdt or amp rating would matter.

Thank you for your response.

In your application, the SPST relay that you have should do the trick.  Did it still not work after you installed the relay?

No it didnt work    in addition to connecting that relay I also connected a Blue wire from the 14 pin GMOS to the pioneer blue white power amp wire . By connecting the blue wire from the GMOS to the Blue white wire amp power wire conflict with the blue antenna enable relay connection ?

Thanks

I have no idea about the OS-4, I just know that there should be a wire in the vehicles harness that powers the amp up.  Some harnesses have it labeled power antenna.  Most people connect the blue (power antenna wire) of their aftermarket radio to that wire and then their amp only comes on when listening to AM or FM.  Maybe some of our hands on guys can help you more than I can.  If the relay is for the power antenna, you can connect the radios blue wire instead of the blue white.  That way your antenna will go down when listening to cd or dvd.

Are there any wires in the factory harness that do not meet up with a wire in the OS-4?  If so, plug the OEM deck back in and power it up.  Check that wire to see if it has 12 volts on it when the unit is powered up.  Turn the unit off and see if that wire no longer has 12 volts on it.  If it meets both above criteria, it is probably the wire that you need to connect the blue/white wire.

Thank you very much for your help, I'll try that after I double check my work.  What is odd is that Gmos instructions has me install a relay between the Gmos 16 pin blue/white wire and the white antenna enable wire on the 24 pin stock harness pin.  And on the other end of the Gmos 14 pin conector they have me connect the blue/white wire to the pioneer blue/white power amp wire.

I'm going to check to make sure I have 12 volts to the relay when I power up the unit.

Thanks again.

Like to say that the the problem of powering the amp has been resolved.  The relay was the culprit.

System works great.  Thanks for the help.
