I have a 08 tahoe and the reverse lights are always on. Even when the car is turned off they still stay lit up. Had to take the fuse out so i would not run the battery down. As soon as i put the fuse back in no matter what they come right on. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Two things turn on the reverse lights--Either the PARK-NUETRAL safety switch or the RKE will also turn on the reverse lights in the late model vehicles. I would start there and see where it takes you

Did you install an aftermarket navigation unit?  Or did you install aftermarket reverse lights?

Check your connection to the reverse wire.  Or disconnect it to see if it returns to normal.
