I just installed an Alpine IDA-x303 in a 1999 Jaguar XJ-8. Sound comes out of all speakers, but it is barely audible even with the volume maxed out.
Any suggestions?
I am not sure if this would play a factor but I have two wires from the car that affected volume that are not just loose inside the car. One is the wire from the steering wheel control and the other is a wire that caused the volume to increase when the car accelerated.
Thanks for any help,
Craig

Did your Jaguar have a factory system with external amplifiers?

Which harness did you use?
Did you use a 4 channel interface module? If so increase the gain on it.
Did you connect your speaker inputs via RCA or speaker line? If RCA's then you might want to try speaker high inputs. I'm assuming factory amplified system.

Is there an AI-Net norm/EQ switch on the bottom of the unit?   Is it set to normal?
