Hello, does any one have any suggestions for my electrical system? I am currently running a JL1000/1 and an Eclipse four channel. I have 0 gauge running to the back then split to two 4 gauge wires. Total I only have a 130 amp draw from the two amps but my electrical system can barely handle it. My lights are dimming so bad I can see it on the road. I have already upgraded the big 3 and I have a 2.5 farad cap. I have been searching for a HO alternator but have been told many times that they are not made for this vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you have at alternator that can handle your load, your system will drop to battery voltage (ie, from 13.8V-14.4V down to less than 12.7V).
If you are drawing 130A, you need an alternator that can supply that - eg, over 130A at the RPM you are doing - probably at least 150A average (battery recharge overhead and inefficiency, and anything else not included in the 130A).
A capacitor will not help that situation. (If fact a cap won't do better than a cheaper battery anyhow.)
You can get a bigger battery, but that will only extend any non-dim time, and it still won't increase the alternator's voltage nor output.
And AGM may reduce dimming due to lower internal resistance, but it will probably fail quicker due to undercharging.

I actually just found one place that claims they have a 195 amp alternator for my car. The problem is the extreme cost. What can I do from here?

Iraggi makes a 220A for that vehicle. He has a store on Ebay. Price is a little steep, but that is because of the new wind type those alts have in those vehicles. He also does very nice work and has been around a long time. I have used his alts many times. Highly recommended.
