hey guys,
have a client running 2x 10in dvc subs, in seperate boxes. 1x in sealed 1x in slot port, running 2ohm off of a single amp.
have suggested that he swap for dual 10 sealed to accomidate both subs.
any serious problems running two subs in different boxes that you can think of?

Will it cause issues with either the amp or the drivers? No.
Will it cause an anomalous frequency response in the car? Absolutely.
Since the enclosure COMPLETELY determines the overall frequency response and sound of any given driver, different enclosures will have different "sounds"... Sometimes complimentary, but more often than not, terribly deleterious. It is never recommended running two drivers in different alignments in the same space, most especially a space as small as a car's interior.
Use the same alignments.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
