Hi everyone, I have a question to see if anyone knew of a good place to get a CD player Headunit CD Cleaner? You know it's like a CD with soft brushes on it and you stick it in your CD player to clean it? Everytime my music bumps, it skips the CD and it used to not do this. Turn the bass down and it does not skip, which makes the CD option useless because I bought the subs and amp to bump, and not to be quiet! I figured a cleaning might solve this. Normally I just plug my iPhone up and listen to the music off of it, but I lost my plug! >.<
I eBay'ed it and got a few results but none of them say its for a car radio, just a DVD and computer CDRoms, my question is, will it be ok to use that? Or do anyone else have a better suggestion. I've not been able to find these CD cleaners anywhere for some reason ... I Used to have one but it was stolen with my car and along with my music, cd's everything. Thanks for any help :)

Back in the Sony ES days, Good Guys had a service warranty that enabled you to send in the device for a cleaning. Never used it, but they led you to believe it was the only way it could be cleaned.
This is what I do for FUN!

I have never seen a laser pickup in an automobile get dirty enough that it required cleaning.  I have only seen 2 that needed cleaning, both were in the DJ booth of a nightclub.   Chances are the laser pickup is failing in your deck.  Those brushes will do nothing but further damage the pickup.

Well weird thing happened to me. As soon as I posted this post I got a call from a buddy asked if I'd stop by. I said Ok and I was talking about how I was looking for one of these CDs and he had one.
I had to use it about 5 times after that though my CD's are playing clean and no skips, so it has to be doing something right. Just wished I could find one for myself. I hear they are everywhere but I think I hav bad luck and someone has already got the last one.
