wiring 4 channels at 2 ohms 8 speakers

Hi there, I've been searching for some help in wiring our family van. We have a 97 GMC Safari with the factory wiring for 8 speaker locations. -6.5 in each front and tailgate door -4x6 plates in the rear pillars -An opening in each front door for a tweeter The 6.5's and 4x6's were the only speakers when we bought the van, but I knew that I always wanted to add tweeters down the road. I've amassed what I can afford and have now started installing it. Here's a list of what I have and what's been installed. -Sony HU(installed) -RF Punch 200 4CH(installed under front passenger seat) -Alpine SPS-600 6.5(installed in front doors) -6.5 2way speakers from visions electronics...can't remember brand ATM(installed in rear doors) -Factory 4x6 plates -Bought factory tweeters from salvage yard. Now, what I'd like to do is run the tweets and door speakers off the 2 front channels and the 6.5's and 4x6's off the rear channels @ 2 ohms. Do I wire a tweeter and 6.5 in series to get a 2 ohm load from each front location and wire 6.5's and plates in series to get a 2 ohm load from each rear location then wire into each channel on the amp? The amp runs 50x4RMS @ 2ohms, so I don't think I'd be over powering the factory speakers. I just need to know if I've got the speaker wiring correct before I go any further. Wiring the speakers in series as you mentioned will yield an 8 ohm per channel load.  Paralleling them would yield a 2 ohm per channel load.  The plates  would perform better if they had some sort of a passive crossover to block the bass from them.  The tweeter must have a crossover.  Hopefully the tweeter has a capacitor fixed to the back of it. 

The amp will only see a 2 ohm load at the frequencies in which both speakers are playing.

Thanks for the reply. I remember seeing a capacitor on the tweeters and I'm not sure about the plates. Would this passive crossover be used even though the amp has a high pass filter already? If it'll help the system to sound better, I'll definitely add one inline with the plates. If not, I'll just switch the amp to HP. I'm wiring the van for another amp as I just bought a couple 10" precision power subs in a bassworx box used and in decent condition, so bass frequencies should be decent. My wife listens to alot of rock/metal and in addition to that I listen to alot of heavier bass stuff too. I'm just looking for a little more punch at higher listening levels." There he goes.
