Like an idiot, I tried to wire a Pioneer DEH 1600 to my 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I found wiring diagrams for the car and the stereo(not sure is it was for my specific model) and matched the wires up accordingly. At first the stereo would come on, but no sound. Now I get nothing from the stereo and my dome lights and dashboard lights don't work. I checked the fuses and they are ok. Am I screwed or is this something I can fix? Thanks.

There are 2 fuses associated with the radio.  One of them is probably labeled radio, but the other will probably be labeled dome, ctsy. or maybe cabin.  You do have a blown fuse.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

you could also spend about $10 and get a wiring harness for your car so you dont have to worry about blowing any fuses again and whether your connections are correct

9 times out of 10, when they cut the plug off of the factory wiring, they cut it so close that they can not reattach the plug to the wires.  But for the next time, it is wise to purchase the harness for the vehiclle, the colors of the purchased harness will match your radio's wire colors.
