I have a pioneer deh-2200ub and clarion eqs746, installed with a monster cable head unit power kit. My question is what is the correct way to wire these two things together (power/ground)? Currently I have them spliced together off of the monster cable power wire I ran from the battery to the dash, and they're also grounded together to a piece of sheet metal behind the dash to keep the wires as short as possible. Would I be able to run the grounds somewhere else, because I feel they're currently not reviving a good ground.

Should be fine.  What makes you think the ground is bad?

That may or may not have anything to do with grounding.  What's the voltage at the EQ when that happens?  Does the head unit disp;ay any similar behavior?

As far as I can't tell the head unit is fine, but I'm not sure of voltage, but they're both wired together as far as power/ground. On my cap it reads from 12-14, do u think it may be a charging issue?

It's possible your alternator cannot keep up with the load and system voltage is drooping.  It's also possible you do have a bad ground, or even that your EQ is defective.  Put a meter on the power lead to the EQ and see what it is when the lights dim.

I know my alt is 108 amps stock and how would I find my amps consumption? My bass amp has 2 x 30 amp fuses and my voice amp has 2 x 25 amp fuses and the kit for my deck wiring is a 10 amp

Yea here's the Model Number: #MPC P200 BAP50, It says 50 watts. Maybe having the eq and hu wired through this is too much load on it?

Is this a pre-amp EQ?  Do you have speakers connected to the radio's speaker wires?
