rca audio in jack damaged on 2300hct

The jack is damaged, so one channel of the amp doesn't play. I tested both subs, one channel surely works. I think the connector inside of the plug is damaged. Is this simething that can be repaired? I have some minor soldering skills. Or maybe is there something I could do to the male end of the RCA wire to make it touch? The channel partially works if I run the subs parallel, but it runs the amp hot at parallel.

Which rca is damaged? the red or white, also if you plug your rca in and try moving it does it work then? What kind of subs do you have? and are they  DVC? what ohm?Chadillac

It is common for the shield connection of those RCA jacks to break.  When they do break, there is usually noise on one channel.  I have no idea why it only affects one channel of the amp.  Does the non working channel make noise when the RCA cable is connected? 

Using an Ohm meter check the resistance from the shield of the RCA input jack to the shield of the RCA output jack.  What reading do you get?

I did not catch the model number.  I thought you had an MTX 2300, if this is not the case, disregard the above comment. 

If it is an AudioBling amp, remove the cover and look for a broken wire at the RCA jack.

It is the AudioBahn 2300HCT, I'll try this method tomorrow.

I think it's the white RCA plug, the current running into the amp. And it USED to work, if I kept tension on the wire, running the wire tightly under the amp, it would cut back on and play. And it worked like this the last few months I owned it.

-I removed the amp for about 6 months, sold my amp, 2 alpine type R (4ohm) subs, 0 guage kicker wiring kit, and an extra battery for ~200$ to a friend. Not that he wants a refund, 1 sub is loud enough for him, but if we can fix it, he would really like it to be as loud as I used to play it.

Each sub is on it's own channel, and if I can remember, once the wires reach the subs, they go from series to parallel from voice coil to voice coil. Not sure what ohm this is.
