Hey guys i have just installed a Clarion EQS746 equalizer into my sound system, before i had a power acoustic pwm19 equalizer,Pioneer 5100ub head unit, clarion mcd360 crossover and an XS imtimidator 880 watt amp. Since i have intalled the clarion EQ i get this loud screech when i  turn off my vehicle while is playing, or if its playing and i start the vehicle i get the screech for the speaker, what could be causing this?  With the power acoustic equalizer i had no pops or screeches coming for my speakers

Are you sure you have constant 12volts on the constant connection of the EQ?

yes i am positive i have constant 12volts to the EQ, it just gives a screech sound to my speaker when i start the vehicle when its playing or when i turn off the vehicle it get a screech. Could it be a ground loop problem? when my vehicle is on running i get no ground loop interference no hum no whines.

which do you have it hooked to? ignition or accessory or the remote wire from the radio? is it the same wire that your power acoustic was hooked to?
if it is hooked to accessory or the remote wire try hooking it straight to an ignition wire that doesn't lose power when you start the car

It is hooked to the remote wire for the deck so if i turn the deck of it turn off as well, but if i hook it to the ignition wire does that mean it will be on all the time and  even when the turn off the entire vehicle, Will i need a switch or something?

no, an ignition wire turns off with the car. the difference is that it will turn off as soon as you turn the car off instead of when the radio's remote wire turns off. its only something to try, i cant guarantee that it will work because the problem is that there is a difference in the timing of how your equipment turns off. you might need to changes some other things to make it go away all together

If you turn the radio off, while leaving the vehicle running, does it make the screech then?  What if the vehicle is running and you turn the radio on, does it screech then?
