so here is the deal i just bought two new jl w3v3 2 ohm and im not sure how to tune my amp for them i have a jl 500 1 and my old speakers wich were older w3 dual voice coil sounded great but i pushed them to hard and they finaly gave out so i got these ones and they pop when i turn them up and they dont seem that loud what can i do to fix this and how should i tune my amp?? please help

       ps in a sealed box.

play only one woofer at a time.  Does the level of bass increase with just one speaker connected? That amp is not capable of driving a 1 ohm load.  Do you have the speakers wired in series?

i may be wrong, but isn't the V3 W3 rated at 300W? The V2 was rated at 400W. i could be wrong.

He has 2 woofers.  I am not totally familiar with the line, but I do know that they make more than one size speaker with that labeling.   So I can not even tell if he has 8s 10s 12s or 13.5s.

you are right, i don't know why i just assumed they were 12". LOL.
So yeah need more info from this guy to figure it all out.
The phase of the woofers is the most likely cause though. . .
