im looking for a class D to drive subs and a class AB to drive mids and highs.

i just want "budget "amp no real price point just  good amps for the price, nothing like a zapco or exotic.  i would like a 1ohm stable class d that can put out 600 watts rms at 2 ohms,

Memphis Car Audio

Power Reference PR 1x1000

580 x 1 at 2 ohms

1000 x 1 at 1 ohm

Retail is roughly $450

45 cents a watt seems pretty budget friendly to me.

The powerbass asa amps are a good choice.  They give good power for the price and they make class d and class a b amps so they would work good for what you want
