alpine imprint with ida x305

Hi guys, I have been debating on getting the Alpine Imprint module PXA-H100 and KTX-H100 for my vehicle. My current set-up in a 1994 GMC Yukon consists of an Alpine IDA-X305 head unit, Infinity Kappa 6x9s in the rear and Infinity Kappa 4x6 plate speakers in the dash. The speakers are powered by an Alpine MRP-F300. Also there are two Kenwood KFC-3012 subs in a sealed box powered by an Alpine MRP-M500. The set-up is geared towards SQ. Overall I think the system sounds pretty good right now. So I'm looking to hear some opinions on adding the Imprint to this set-up. Would it be a good addition to a mild set-up like this or would the money be better spent elsewhere? Thanks for your help guys. -James

I don't have any experience with the Imprint system but I do like what AUDYSSEY does for home theaters.

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard good things about Audyssey. Plus I figure even if I don't like the sound after I set it up using the software by adding the module I will have still gained a 7 way equalizer and 4 volt preamp outputs. The head unit's equalizer only has bass and treble adjustments which doesn't allow much flexibility.

Yea I love all the quality technology that alpine has to offer but hate how they make you have to buy a million add-on accessory's to get what other company's have as standard equipment. But the fact that they make separate components might mean they are engineered better....maybe.(speculation is frowned upon on the 12volt...lol) I hope you will find that to be the case with the imprint.   

I agree, it is kind of annoying to have to pay for each add-on. But as you mentioned hopefully that means you're getting better quality. Plus maybe it helps keep the price of the head unit down without decreasing quality since you're not paying for features you don't need. But I've decided that I am going to give the Imprint a try. I'll update this thread with my results after I get everything dialed in.
