Hi all,
I'm looking for some help replacing the OE head unit with a Pioneer single-din unit that came out of my old van.
I want to put the Pioneer into a 2007 GMC Savana van (same as a 2007 Chevy Express).
What I need some help with is finding the correct wire harness so that I do not need to cut the factory harness.
The radio that came out of the vehicle is an Delco AM/FM radio with GM part nr #15131157. It has a single 24-pin connector + antenna.
What I want is really the male counterpart of Metra's OEM harness for GM 98-08 #71-2003-1 (http://www.metraonline.com/part/71-2003-1) so that I can plug straight into the van's factory harness without having to cut any wires in the van-side of the harness.
But whenever I try to find a harness like that I get recommended to spend $80-$140 on a kit to retain door chimes...
I honestly could not care less about the door chimes and other warning bells. If I can I would choose to turn them off.
Do I really need to get one of those kits just to get the proper harness?
If not, does anyone know where I can pick up a male side connector/wire harness?
Thanks in advance

You want the 70-2003. You will need to get accessory power somewhere else as it doesn't exist on the plug. The 70-2003 will come with a red wire to extend over to the ignition switch....

Thanks Mike,
Exactly what I needed to know.
I have no problem grabbing switched accessory power from the ignition since I'm tapping in to that for other needs as well.
