2010 malibu, stereo system

Hey guys...did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm installing a system in a friends '10 Malibu without Bose, with OnStar. That being said, we're keeping the stock HU and look to replace the front and rear speakers, in addition to adding a JL Audio CleanSweep. I found the wire pin out for an '09 Malibu on this site and should be good to go. However, I'm reading that there are tweeters in the A pillars of the car, but I don't see it in the wiring diagram posted. Does anybody know how they are wired into the stock wiring? Thanks!

gm tweeters are usually wired in parallel, if using stock speaker wires, run new wires from amp to behind dash and make connections there. you can use an meter to see what the ohms are, with or with out door speaker connected. shouldn't be a problem running them parallel with new door speakers off of new amp.Go BIG or go Home                                    it might not be broke, but lets fix it anyway

Thanks! I was thinking of doing just that; using an ohm meter before and after OEM tweets were connected. Obviously, the front speakers (tweets connected or not) will be high passed....125hz and higher. The tweets will be okay like this? (I plan on tapping the amp inputs to the speakers behind the OEM HU.)

the tweeters will be ok on new amp, if you pop off an A-pillar the speaker wires should be in parallel @ tweeter harness. as for hooking up a 4ch amp, the tweeters and stock speakers will also work just fine amplified also. as long as they are 4 ohms, i do this a lot for my friends and later on down the road they gradually upgrade speakers. if using a line out converter just be sure to use a good brand, dont cheap out on it, trust me.Go BIG or go Home                                    it might not be broke, but lets fix it anyway

Thanks. I was thinking of using the JL Audio Cleansweep, Good or overkill?

Or would the AudioControl LC6i suffice?
