pioneer 5100ub rca popping sound

hey guys yesterday i was cleaning up the wires in my installion and when i was finish doing so and tested the system i seem that i have a problem the rca output from the deck. When i turn on the system i get sound for 1 second then some white noise and then 2 pops then it starts all over again and again. However i have front speakers powered from the deck and they are working fine no issues, but the problem i am having is the RCA output at the back. I tested it from the head unit rca to the amp input and bypassed my equalizer and active crossover into the amp same problem, i had even change the amp and was still getting sound for 1 second then white noise(static) and then followed by 2 pops. Guys plz help me my head unit is fairly new thanks

Any thing that man can make.....will break. we have all heard of the guy with the new porshe that doesnt get off the lot. It happens. use the method......IDENTIFY, ISOLATE, ELIMINATE. Try new rca's then use you DMM to test for proper ground,power. If all tests well plug another source into the setup to see if it goes away. just do one methodical thing at a time. I can not tell you how many times someone says it can not be.........( that's when you stop thinking and start assuming) and it is. all problems have a solution/ explanationThe RIGHT way is the ONLY way.

hey i am an idiot i tested the ground from the RCAS to the body outer case of the deck and i got 1ohm flat, does mean that it still have to ground the rcas to the body of the deck, also i am looking for the fuse on this deck on the board and i am not seeing it the Pico fuse that is. Can you help me find it where should it be close to? thanks all who have replied before.dre

If it read 1Ohm without a K or an M in front of the Ohm symbol, Your RCA shields are fine. No need to proceed with any info on that page. The fuses are sometimes on the bottom of the circuit board. Yours is not blown, so do not try to find it.

i am an idiot i jus go into work and tested the rca with a Jensen JTM-97a true rms multimeter and i tested the rcas on the deck and it was 000.6 ohms without the k or the m behind the ohms sign, at the back of the board have "RCA GND" an the reading was 21.94 k ohmsdre

since you have tested the rca shields, have you ried to substitue equipment to isolate the source. try an ipod connected to the amp ......The RIGHT way is the ONLY way.

What where to where did you read 21.94K?
