Hey guys,
I'm trying to hook up an older navigation system in my 2008 Matrix. The Nav is from 2003 car. The plugs are different but i think i figured things out. However from the start i've had an issue with the screen. Its a bunch of static, interference, noise or whatever you call it. LInes, waves on the screen. The lines get really tiny with time and almost unnoticeable but still there.
Anyone ever experience something like that?

Sounds like magnetic or RF interferrence.  If this is an OEM unit not designed for this specific car, then I am not surprised and you may never get it to function properly.

Yes, that looks like magnetic interference to me.  Nothing you can do about it short of building a magnetic shield around it.  That unit is not properly shielded for the vehicle you're putting it into.
