Hey guys, im new to the forum this is my first post and I installed a new headunit in my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. I installed the Sony MEXBT2800 and everything works great sound is super clear im happy. The only issue is that the headunit is on at all time ! I know the hot at all times wire is RED / white and the hot when in ignition wire is pink/white. The two colours look exactly alike but i guess i should just pull up my volt meter. Also there are two ground wires, there's a black one and a black and green one. Is there a difference? Here is the site where I got my wiring diagram from -
http://www.#.com/car-ster...dodge-caravan/
everything worked exactly as stated, my only issue is that i have about 3 extra wires from the vans factory wiring that were not mentioned in that site. Could this be why my head unit isn't turning off? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated ! Also, one of the three extra wires from the van's wires is the Radio Illumination Dimmer Wire: ORANGE / Tan. Im not sure what the other 2 are for. One more thing, i didn't use a harness i just spliced up the vans wires and soldered and electric taped in the new headunits wires.
