I bought a kenwood kvt-512 head unit. I'm trying to install it into a 2002 cavalier. I got the plug in harness and wired it to the directions. I get a flashing red light on the front of the deck when i plug it in. Also the fan comes on. It will not do anything else. I have triple checked my wiring with no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Tyler

Where did you connect the red ignition lead from the radio harness?

A 2002 Cavalier doesnt have a standard 12V ignition turn on. It is a 5V data turn on.  You'll have to take the red lead from the Kenwood harness and extend it to the fuse box and use an ignition powered fuse and tap onto it. This info should've been in the instructions. What brand and model harness did you buy?
