I have a Sony CDX-M600 that I just replaced the front display ribbon cable. It platey fine with no display before. Now the display is fine but I have no sound from the radio. There is static on the speakers and it goes up and down with the volume just no sound. The CD works fine, great sound from that. The front display shows it receiving sound on the LCD equalizer display. I tried the ATT and a few of the other menu options but no luck. It seems to be something simple as a control or???
Anyone here with experience with this problem?
Thanks
i am an idiot

You put the wrong screw in the rear of the CD mechanism mounting holes.  There are 2 short screws and 2 long screws.  You put the long screw in the back locations.  One of the screws went through the circuit board of the tuner.
