The JL 500/5 is

100rms x2 in front

25rmsx2 in rear

250rms subwoofer.

I want to know if the subwoofer channel could push 4 CDT 6x9sub/midrange speakers.  They are 150rms for a pair.  So that would be 300 for all 4.

Would that work?

I got a chance to get a killer deal on a 500/5 and just curious if it will work with what im trying to do.

It'll RUN it, but not in stereo. The 250 watt channel is a mono channel. Keep your impedance where it belongs (or higher) and you'll have no issues.

those JL class D (the amp used on the sub part) are limited to around 500hz and under by the amplifier design.
you wont get much midrange from the sub-amp part.

If your system moves you physically and not emotionally, you have wasted your money.

Could you explain a little more on the impedance? Thank you.
Im getting a 500/5 on a really good deal. Ill just use the 250x1 to run a sub....
I like keeping amps the same brand.
I just check up on the speakers and they say 100rms.
So should a 300/4 jl amp. 75wrms work in this case?

I just recieved my JL amp.  500/5 channel.

Front 100 RMS.  Im trying to look for a good 3 way component setup.  Looked @ hertz witchis a 100rms 3 way set.

Just wanted to hear some other options on a good 3 way component setup.  Under $500 dollars.  The hertz is $400.

Also i cut wholes in my rear door panels for 5 1/4 speakers.

The rear on the amp is only 25 rms.  Im guessing i should use a coaxial speaker.  Also any suggestions.

The rear deck has 2 6x9's but i will be taking those out.

Will 250RMS be good for a 10w6v2?  Ported custom enclosure.    I was thinking about getting a 250/1v2 amp and pushing another 10w6v2.  On JL's site it recommends 300rms on their chart.  I know the sub says 600rms.

Thanks for any help.  Highly appreciated.
