Hi, just trying to replace a non-functioning OEM stereo with an aftermarket. Stereo powers up, no sound. I didn't think I had the Infinity system (No logo on stereo) but when pulling the rear speakers, not only noticed a silver box inside the speaker well, but another 2 1/2" tweeter. (looks suspiciously like an Amp/Crossover)
Did the Crutchfield and Local audio shop thing and they both told me that these vehicles don't have an 8 speaker system. I've physically counted 2-dash, 2-door, 4-rear.
Anyway, not trying to build a competition system, just trying to have music for the commute. :)
Any help would be appreciated.

It's in the post title, but the vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. Basic AM/FM/CD with 2 dash speakers, 2 Door speakers, and 2 6x9's in the rear with separate 2 1/2" tweeters. All factory stock.

Did you power the amp turn on wire? If you purchased the appropriate wiring harness for your vehicle, it will be a blue or a blue/white wire. It needs to be connected to the blue/white wire of your deck.

Thanks for the reply,
I've bought two wiring harness's. The first was a Metra 70-6502 from a local car audio shop. (It was recommended) It doesn't include a remote amp turn on (blue/white), only a solid blue for power ant. Kinda funny since they told me to use the blue/white also. :)
I second was a Wal-mart harness, which did have a blue/white remote amp wire, but it doesn't help either. I get power, can see an FM station is locked, etc.
Thanks again for any help.

I found this, mentions you have to run a separate line to the amp in the driver side kick panel?

Tried this as well, no luck.

Guess I'll look for the amp in the kick panel and try the Crutchfield adapter posted previously.
