I just recieved my first RE sub in the mail the other day. Ive been trying to0 come up with an enclosure that will bust the fu*$%n window out of my 2000 altima se. and im getting mixed info on the box size. i read a couple places that 2 cubes was too small for a sealed box even though thats what the manual says. I made one @2.5 (.75mdf1.5 baffle wood glu joints. fibr resn inside, brad nails, 28X18X12? i think) just to hear it. jl1000.1 pioneer premier head 4gage. cheesy ass old mnstr cap(wich i think is garbage but its what i have at ths pnt). What ya'll say makes sense to me and id appreciate any imput.

Using the available calculators, i made a box, vented. 34.5X17X20X22" vent being 4.5X15.5X23 of that, and 1.5" baffle sub is rescessed so only secured to. 75. Hopefull this is tuned to 34 hz . displacement of sub is 0.22ft³ . i used i would guess a total of 16"X16" of. 75 mdf for bracing, 16 gage1.5" brads fiber redsined all of inside, and used wood glu + PL on all joints. put a smalltriangle in as a toekick. put plastic drywall anchors in holes i drilled (hoping i dont strip wood) for mounting the sub. Any imput, critisizm is welcome want to learn as much as i can. ( really I think I just want to dog my buddies camaro (2 12 inch treos and 1 15 inch treo all TEs) ha ha. i was confused with the calculator; when u put the volume in the vented slot calc.,is the vent in addition to or iside of that volume???? Anyone????
sometimes its better to remain silent and let people THINK you are stupid, than to open your mouth and confirm.
