So I just finished installing my amplifier... My system is as follows:
Alpine CDA-9886 head unit
Soundstream SST6.5 Pro speakers (100W RMS)
Soundstream SC-6T speakers (80W RMS)
Soundstream STL4.500 amplifier (85W x4 RMS)
Now, everything was working fine in my system up until I installed the amp. But just as I put everything back together and went for a drive, I noticed that the speakers were actually putting out less volume than before the amplifier install. Secondly, and most worrying, my lights were flickering and I had to keep the gas pedal down even at the lights to keep the lights stable. When driving the headunit would turn on then cut out (my car cuts power to the head unit when the battery is running low).
Is anybody able to help me because my car is pretty undriveable now till I sort this out :'(
Any help is appreciated!!

Did you connect the amplifier power wire directly to the battery?

sounds like a loose battery post, check it. nothing with a car fixes itself, it will definitely happen again.
