removing factory bose for aftermarket

Hey guys it has been awhile since I have been in the car audio scene, and with the new features ans such that come on the vehicles i'm out of the loop.

I have a 2004 Silverado SS with the Premium Bose, and OnStar. I just bought a new Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD headunit, Polk DB6500 fronts, Polk 4x6 plates and a Polk 600.4 amp. I already have two 10's and an amp in the truck that are bypassed from the factory Bose amp.

My question is. What Intergation module would be used to retain the factory chimes, and also allow OnStar to communicate with the BCM? What is the easiest way to splice this system in at the headunit also? I will be running my pre-amps from the unit directly to the amps, and run the new wires to the new speakers. Any help or tips given are very appreciated.

BTW I have searched all over the forum for a cut and dry answer but didn't find one.

Find the factory amp and catch the OEM speaker wires there.

Ok I might be confusing myself, but here I go. I have the Bose system from the factory. I am taking out the factory speakers, amp, and head unit. Would I still need the bose interface as well as OnStar?

I have found that PAC has the OS-2, and the OS-2Bose. Wouldn't the OS-2 be what I want since I won't realistically be using the bose? Thanks for the help guys.

that basic harness won't give you On Star, You will need one of the OS2 harnesses, or something with onstar capabilities. Either one should work. Getting the one for your OEM system won't hurt anything and is probably the safest bet. You just wont be using the speaker inputs. Verify that the piece you get has an integrated speaker, or you will have to extend the outputs to a stand alone under dash speaker so onstar can be heard. Study the install guide carefully!
