rubbing noise in sub

well i have a mtx 12' 8500 4ohm. so the sub sounds good with the volume half way but when i turn it up some the bass sounds good but when deep bass kicks in you can hear rubbing noise in the voice coil. is there anyway i can fix that?

also while the sub was off i pushed on the cone to see i can any rubbing and i heard nothing scratching at all

It's blown or contains a manufacturer's defect. If you've never overpowered it (and they'll be able to tell...) call MTX or your local dealer, and have them RMA or replace it.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
