gm lan in dash

I've never done this but have seen this. I know they make a alternative harness for GM Class II Data Bus radio that work fine but lose RAP and warning chimes but Do they make one for the LAN system and is it possible for GM vehicles with the LAN system. I'm saying if a customer is willing to lose their onstar and warning chimes. Has anyone done this and have they had any drawbacks with it?I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

As long as the customer knows they will lose On-Star, Warning Chimes and Retained Acc, no drawbacks at all.

ive had strange experiences when didnt use the lan harness. over time it seems to cause problems with the cars computer mainly i think because there may be some kind of data feedback between the factory radio and the BCM that gets lost when you replace the stock unit with a regular plug. you can get a harness that just retains the data connection and chime functions for maybe $100 and it saves you the hassle of having to run your own accessory wire to turn the aftermarket radio on.

I wasn't aware that any GM vehicle 99-06 ran on a LAN system. Anyway, thanks for the reply im gonna check out the 70-2105.I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

the chime data plug is either c2r-gm29 or c2r-gm11. which one depends on the make model and year of your car. they are made by PAC. let me know what car you have and ill tell you which one you need

We have used the 2105 on many occasions, I have never seen a problem using it.
