whelen hhs2200 hand held siren

Whelen HHS2200 Hand-Held Siren Install Hello Everyone, I am installing a HHS2200 Hand-Held Siren and I need to know if the Bosch 0 332 002 150 / SPST 75 Amp. and it has the four terminals, dual contact setup. Here is the pdf for the install of this unit, I just want to do a simple install, I'm using a single Federal Signal Dynamax MS100 Siren Speaker for this job. What I really need is for someone to draw a simple diagram to wire the relay into the system so it works. I am not hooking up the horn ring, or any other lights etc. I just want the system to work. seems to me if you arent installing any extras like lights onto the relay module then all you need to do is run the red wire at terminal 1-2 to the battery and fuse the wire no more than 12 inches from the battery. then run a thick speaker wire from terminal 6-1 and 6-2 to where you plan to mount the siren. then ground the black wire at terminal 1-1 to bare metal. the instructions say to run this to the negative battery terminal but i would ground it as close to the relay module as possible. screw the ground wire to the floor and sand the spot down to bare metal so there is no paint touching your connection. use a ring terminal on the wire. that should be all you need to make the siren work.

Thanks for the good advice. My van is the 7.3L 444ci. International Turbo Diesel engine with a dual alt-3 battery system with a 2/0 feed to the rear of the van. The juice this van has with multi-grounding locations makes all the electronics work very well. From the amps to the strobe lights etc. One thing I wanted to share with you is I learned a trick to help pull in HDTV Stations by installing a grounding block in-between the HDTV Antenna and the TV itself. A ground block similar to this one. And ground the block to your best ground, mine is both the battery and frame. The TV Signal is so much better using the ground block vs. not using one. The TV signal comes in very clear. What's nice about this Whelen hhs2200 hand held programmable siren is you can mount the unit under the rear seat and it comes with a 25 foot Ethernet cable that you plug the hand-set to, and it has a female to female Ethernet jack that allows you to plug in the hand-held unit that has another 6-8 feet of cable on it. So you can easily un-plug the hand-set unit, put it into your bag to keep it from being stolen or to stop unauthorized people from using it. I am using it for the PA System and the Air Horn feature. You can download and program any police/siren sound from any country in the world, it's amazing how programmable it is.
