alpine mrp t130 amp not turning on.

I got Best Buy to install my Pioneer DEH-6400BT stereo and they soldered my remote wire into the wiring harness and connected the RCAs to the preouts. I expect that they did it right. I ran the RCA and remote wires down the passenger side door to my trunk. I ran the power wire through the firewall (with a grommet - Best Buy drilled the hole for me) into the trunk. I grounded my amp to my trunk using a screw and bolt onto the sheet metal. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FK4m0fzSIEJ/p_500MRPT130/Alpine-MRP-T130.html That is my amp and I used a 10 gauge wire. I used to have this amp in another car and it worked fine. Currently I am not getting it to turn on. I am pretty sure I have power running to the amp because when I plug in the fuse, it has sparked before (dirt on the fuse) and both the fuses in the power wire and on the amp are still intact. I think it has something to do with my remote wire. I think I connected my remote wire to both the remote and power terminals last time I used my amp. I don't remember for sure though. I think last time I twined part of the remote wire in with the power wire and connected it to the terminal. Either that or I didn't use the remote terminal at all.

jump a piece of wire from the positive terminal on the amp to the remote terminal. if it comes on then you have a problem with your remote wire. if it does not come on you either dont have power on your main power from the battery, your ground might be bad, or your amp could be bad.

it would be easier if you could get your hands on a voltage meter so you can test for voltage on both sides of each fuse. fuses can look good and still be blown and its hard to tell if you cant test for voltage.
