subwoofer wiring

So before someone says "Read the FAQ" or "search!?!" or "Use the Diagram", I have. I've wired in Dual [Aluminum] CVR12s - And I'm trying to drop down the resistance. Reading the kicker book that came with them, There's parallel wiring which basically cuts the resistance in half OR series wiring which seems to double it. Currently I have them wired in series @ 4Ohms [according to the wiring diagram from here] so that both subs run through one port for wiring, But I'm wondering If I can run them differently to go at 2Ohms in parallel wiring instead of 4ohms in series. I have a Boss AR1500M Amp wired in, which is labeled at 1,500W @ 2ohms, Meaning i'm getting 750W @ 4ohms, and split up is 375W per sub. And assuming all that math is right, These 800W max subs are only getting [less than] half the power they can handle. I would know, I've got the gain maxed and get zero distortion. Is there a better way to have these wired, like in parallel; Amp+>Coil 1+>Coil 2+ Amp->Coil 1->Coil 2- but have both subs bridge wire connections at the mono amp output spots? Or would I still be running at 4ohms [or worse].

If your subs are dual voice coil and 4ohms per coil your options are 1ohm or 4ohms. The only way you can get 2ohms is with dual coil subs  2ohms per coil wired in series-parallel
