Hello, does anyone know where I can get an empty HO box for a 10W7?  I have been searching CL and Ebay but cannot find any.  I did build a ported enclosure to JL specs but would really like to get an HO box.

Thanks!

I did contact JL directly but again no luck yet...  Any help would be appreciated.

the JL HO box is definitely hard to find without the sub to go with it but in my experience its just a box. it looks cool and has a strange wrap around port design but in the end its just a ported box. i used to have a set of JL W6's and one day i came across a HO box that a friend was selling that was designed for those W6 12's. i tried the box out and it wasnt even as loud as a pre-fab box i had them in originally. it was louder from far away than up close in my truck and i was not impressed.
that being said ive never heard the HO box for the W7 so it may be a whole different beast. i used to have a 8W7 and it slammed in the custom ported box i built for it.
i guess my overall point is that if you cant find the HO box then dont sweat it because its just a ported box, it isnt special at all like they would have you believe. it is extremely well made but its still just another pre-fab box that may or may not fit your specific application

You have a very good point.  I just have been obsessed with them the first time I heard a 12W7 in an HO box.  Maybe my biggest concern is cleaning up the audio signal going into the amp.  My last system was in an 08 Sebring.  I had a 12W7 in a home made box powered by a PDX1000, JL components inside again with a PDX powering them and a Pioneer in dash dvd and 100 sq ft of FatMat.  So anything after that is just disappointing.  I am just not happy with the sound from the 10W7 and know it can be better.
