I have a 2006 VW Passat 2.0T. I am trying hard to figure out how to wire the positive from the battery to the amp. I cannot see any grommets to pass through. I have taken it to a few stereo shops. They said they are not liable if the drill through and hit a module. I would rather not run a wire under the car. I think that might be the "safest option". Any suggestions? Thank you, I have searched through many posts and I think this is the proper forum, excuse me if it is not or feel free to move it.

Good physical protection and a fuse at the battery.
ESPECIALLY the latter.
