ok i have a 60 impala 4 door
redoing the whole thing mechanically
in a couple months i'm gonna be putting in a new 283 rebuilt
now i would like to start thinking about the system and wiring
i have a 85 chevy celebrity as a daily driver
i burnt an alternator up in about 1 and a half years
standard 60 amp with a sub amp draining about 2-2.5 volts peak from the whole car
i was going down the street like that everyday boom bang killing the car
thought i could get away with it burnt some fuel pumps too
well i'd like to know how to wire the impala (alternators batteries regulators extra) so it never has a electrical failure from they system i will put in
i have a 2100 hcca orion love it sounds nice at its 60% efficiency
plan to use more oldschool 100% AB amps love being able to hear my music right with quality though there hogs with power
i'm expecting 40-100 amps constant drain on the car daily
and i want to able to support 200 amps for hour or so without worrying
these are ruff numbers
but i want to know how to have the car work perfectly like it should with my system
i don't want it to ruin my car's electrical
help please
i've thought of a bigger alternator more batteries extra
but i really would hate to hurt the car anything else i could do?
i've thought about a standard alternator and battery on the car
with a bigger one and batteries in the trunk sharing the same ground
separated systems with common ground
not sure that would work as intended
thought about a big diode to the trunk so it can't drain the car that may not work well
i'll be posting more questions in a cuple months infinite baffle or sealed box(still need a spare tire), what subs and highranges for quality and output best amps use 3 or 4 rear 6 by 9's extra...

High output alternator, big 3 upgrade, great grounds. Read the Hot Topics section.
