Hello every one. I will be working on putting a remote start unit (viper 5704) on my wifes 2002 subaru impreza. Everything looks pretty straight foward except for one thing I haven't had the chance to do. It says on some tech documents that I download that the Factory Alarm Ignition sense wire must be interrupted during remote start so that the alarm doesn't trigger.

Has any one had the chance to do this on one of these cars. I know I can use a relay to interrupt but not quite sure on how to wire up the relay. Appreciate the help. thanks.

You can do that or look into the owners manual on how to turn off the factory alarm. I usually do that and Use a Remote start/alarm. Works better and no issues with the factory alarm which these cars have issues with.
