I use the JL to power a 750rms Kicker 15" SoloClassic. I want to hear the sub at full power but can't afford over $300 now. Do I wait? I've been browsing... Kicker zx750.1, Polk A-d1000.1? any others?

i really doubt you would notice a difference between 500 and 750 watts, if there is a difference it will be small. id stay with that JL amp over any kicker amp any day, better sound and better quality, my overall opinion is that its not worth spending all that money on something thats not going to do anything.
i dont know what type of box you have your 15 in or the dimensions/specs but usually a better box design will give you much better results than just adding a few hundred watts. the amount of power you have on the sub woofer is probably the least important factor when trying to get louder, you typically have to double the power you have right now to notice any kind of increase in volume.

If your system moves you physically and not emotionally, you have wasted your money.
