Longtime lurker, first time poster. Hello!
I recently bought two JL Audio 13.5" W3V4-4ohm subwoofers from a guy off craigslist. He said they were "unresponsive" and sure enough they produce zero vibration or sound from signal. I can't find any soft part replacements online... Am I out of luck? Thanks.

i doubt JL makes any recone kits and with that sub being a 13.5 i doubt a generic recone kit will fit either.

JL Audio will recone those drivers if shipped from an authorized dealer. No matter the origin of the driver. Usually costs about 1/2 of retail. Find a dealer in your area and see about getting them to ship it back. You may want to call JL and see if you can send it in yourself.

I ended up emailing JL and one of their associates told me they would do a full refurb for $120 per sub, including return shipping. What do you guys think?

$250. I'm thinking I'm gonna send one of them in and get it refurbed, then use it as a home theater sub in my room.
