Hi,
I have a 2010 Ford Focus 1.8 SI 5 Door, the MK2.5.
I want to add an amp and sub but keep my factory radio. I know how to do the entire installation, the only thing i need help on is where to connect the remote wire from the amp to? Must i connect it to the ignition wire or cigarette lighter fuse?
If i go with the ignition wire...
1 - where is that
2 - what does it look like
3 - how do i connect it
thanks guys
The link below is a picture of my radio, does this have a remote wire already? then i don't have to do the above.

if you have a cigarette lighter that turns on and off with the car then i would use that if it is easy to get to the back of it. the remote wire will tap onto the wire that is connected to the center pin of the cigarette lighter socket.
if you do not have a digital voltage meter to verify the correct voltage and function of the wires then i would not recommend trying to tap onto anything at the ignition harness.
