Music stops when too loud

hi, can anyone please help me? note that i have a pioneer champion series amplifier powering a JBL subwoofer of 300 watt and 4 speakers of 80 to 100 watt for the high. when i play music for some time at higher volume and the bass are kicking hard, after a certain period of time, the music stops for 1 to 2 seconds and continue to play again. i therefore need to play the music below level 10 (30 to be the highest) so that the periodic "1 second cuts" stop. do you think that it's the power consumption and that i will need a capacitor to resolve this issue or it is being caused by another issue? Is the amp powering the interior speakers as well as the Sub? What all is shutting down? Is Just the sub shutting off? Is the vehicle running while this is happening?

Sounds like your amp is shutting down in protection mode. Either you have too low impedance on the amplifier channels or the gain is way too high.Support the12volt.com

Hi note that this happens whether my car is turned off or even while driving. but what i can say is that it happens only when i put the sound very high with big bass kicking and when the voice are clipping a little bit. yes, my amp power the 4 speakers(2 speakers that were already in the car and the other 2 are pioneer speaker freshly installed). the amp does not shut down completely but it cuts intermittently for 1 to 2 seconds and then continue to play for 4 to 5 seconds and then cut for 1 to 2 seconds again and so on and so forth. i therefore need to put the music below level 10 (30 to be the max) so that this issue dissapear.ianik

Your impedance is too low. You have too many speakers connected in parallel to the amp.Support the12volt.com

I would say that you are clipping the amp and you are running the system harder than it can handle. When the system shuts down, the amp is trying to protect itself. You need to set your system up properly. Remember the gain is not a volume control. What amp is it exactly that you are running? I don't think that series of amps had a 5 channel. Are you running a 4 channel with the fronts on the fronts and the rears running the sub?
